Daphne Scroggins is a theatermaker based in New York City with a background in acting and dance. She has trained at the British American Drama Academy, the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and Sharron Miller’s Academy for the Performing Arts.

Daphne is deeply passionate about immersive and site-specific theater. She has directed three site-specific projects: one in a house, one in an arboretum, and one in an elevator. Daphne also assistant directed site-specific projects with Katherine Wilkinson and Katy Early. Daphne is particularly interested in work that targets the senses that are often overlooked in theater: smell, taste, and touch. Daphne is excited to continue creating & developing work that pushes the boundaries of what an audience is accustomed to.

This past spring, Daphne graduated from Oberlin College where she received a Bachelor’s in Theater (High Honors) and English. She was also awarded the James Staton McLaughlin Memorial Prize for “students who have made significant contribution to the production, advancement and enjoyment of theater.” At Oberlin, Daphne studied directing under Marya Sea Kaminski and Katy Early.
